The present book is useful for students of master courses of life sciences, medicine, behavioral sciences and research scholar as bio-statistics is a compulsory part of syllabus of all universities at master level according to new UGC curriculum and essential part of preventive and social medicine according to MCI guideline. It is also useful in epidemiological study and analysis of experimental results.
The book includes both descriptive and analytical part of bio-statistics and comprises thirteen chapters. One chapter is exclusively confinded to experimental designing for the development of better understanding of experimental works and insight for the derivation of scientific hypothesis among students. A separate chapter also describes non parametric test statistics particularly significant for readers related with study of behavioural sciences and epidemiology. The methods of test statistic and ANOVA are described in lucid manner. The chapters of descriptive statistics are also included in under graduate syllabus of life sciences in most of the universities.
The description of topics is supported by graph and illustrations for better understanding of facts. As mostly readers of present book belong to non mathematical background the derivation of formula and equations are describe on the basis of simplest algebraic methods. Each chapter is succeeded by an exercise for practice and evaluation of readers.
